SEOUL: President of South Korea Yoon Suk-yeol said on Wednesday that any provocation by North Korea must be met with retaliation without any hesitation despite its nuclear arms.

The office of the South Korean President issued the statement after an intrusion by North Korean spy drones. As many as five drones of North Korea crossed into South Korea on Monday, prompting South Korea’s army to scramble fighter jets and attack helicopters to shoot drones down.

The office of Yoon said that they must punish and retaliate against any provocation by North Korea. He added that they must not hesitate because North Korea has nuclear arms.
