ISLAMABAD: Syrian Ambassador to Pakistan Ramez Alraee has stressed upon the need to spread the message of love, tolerance and generosity on the occasion of Christmas.
The ambassador in an exclusive message to WE News on Thursday said that: It’s an honor and pleasure for me today to speak to you as the Syrian ambassador on the occasion of Christmas.
He said Syria has a rich history of diverse cultures and religions in coexistence and we understand the significance of celebrating each other’s traditions in the spirit of Islam and Christmas.
“Let us spread the teachings of love, tolerance and generosity that are the core of this festive season”, said the ambassador.
He prayed that may the spirit of Islam and Christianity inspire us all to be agents of positive changes.
Ambassador Ramez Alraee said cooperation and understanding among nations must be encouraged as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. “Let us also celebrate the diversity of our world and strive for the future where every community regardless of its religious background can flourish in harmony,” said the Syrian envoy.
“Once again I wish you all merry Christmas and joyous holiday season,” he said. The ambassador hoped the strong bond of friendship between Syria and Pakistan continue to strengthen.
