ISLAMABAD: Pakistan cricket team batting maestro and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan may not be available for the next two games of the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand due to a hamstring injury.

One of the top scorers and key batter for Pakistan, Muhammad Rizwan suffered the injury during the third T20I against New Zealand in Rawalpindi last Sunday. In the same game, he surpassed Virat Kohli and Babar Azam’s records by scoring the fastest 3,000 runs in T20 International cricket while playing his 79th T20I innings.

The team management has yet to decide on his availability for the rest of the matches and will provide further details after examining his condition properly.

Injury Issues to Pakistan Players Ahead of Mohammad Rizwan’s Injury

A couple of days before amid another major development, wicketkeeper batter Azam Khan was ruled out of the Two series against Kiwis after experiencing discomfort in his right calf during a practice session.

It is worth noting that both the teams have won one match each after the first game was washed out by rain in Rawalpindi last week.

The fourth and fifth match of the series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium on 25, and 27th April, respectively.
