Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Review Implementation of Agreements

The parties also reviewed the implementation of previously signed agreements, to realize shared objectives in the field of agriculture. The collaborative efforts are expected to lead to tangible outcomes that contribute to the economic development of both nations.

According to the Tajikistan Embassy in Uzbekistan, the trade turnover between the two countries surpassed $450 million from January through November 2023. Uzbekistan holds the position of the second-largest trading partner for Tajikistan among Central Asian countries during this period, demonstrating the significance of the economic relationship between the two nations.

Despite a 10.3% decrease in trade turnover compared to the same period in 2022, the discussions on agricultural collaboration indicate a proactive approach to enhancing bilateral ties.
