WASHINGTON: Taylor Swift has returned to the stage for the first time since her split from Joe Alwyn, and her fans are already curious about the possibility of a new romance.
The singer’s devoted fans, popularly known as Swifties, have been busy connecting the dots and believe that she may be seeing The 1975 frontman, Matty Healy.
According to Swifties, the pair had made several appearances together, including when Swift surprised fans by performing with the band during their gig in London in January 2023.
The Folklore singer’s fans have also pointed out that the announcement of her split with Joe Alwyn coincided with Matty Healy’s birthday on April 8.
Further fueling the rumours, Matty Healy recently made a comment during an onstage speech that Swifties believe was a reference to Taylor Swift. He said, “Everything happens in an era. The 1975 is a very eras band. The era of me being an imprecation is coming to an end.”

Swifties are excited at the prospect of a new power couple emerging from the music scene. Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had been in a private relationship for several years before their split. Since then, the singer has been focusing on her music and recently released her surprise album, “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions”, on Disney+.
As for the rumours of a new romance, neither Taylor Swift nor Matty Healy has confirmed anything, so for now, Swifties will have to wait and see if their suspicions are confirmed.
