Thailand, Turkiye Set to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation this Week

ISLAMABAD: Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Foreign Minister, and his Thai counterpart Don Pramudwinai will discuss stronger bilateral cooperation this week, the Turkish foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

During the 3-day visit to Turkiye, starting on Wednesday, the Thai foreign minister and Cavusoglu will co-chair the fourth meeting of the Joint Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation of both countries.

The statement said that both leaders will discuss bilateral cooperation, and current regional and international developments, and ink the Second Joint Plan of Action between Turkiye and Thailand for the period 2023-28.

Turkish embassy in Thailand

Turkiye opened its embassy in Thailand and established bilateral diplomatic relations in 1958.

While the Royal Thai Embassy in Ankara was inaugurated in 1972.
