ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan Mehmet Pacaci called on Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan and Turkiye had excellent bilateral ties based on common faith, values, culture, civilization and historical linkages, according to a press release.
Both sides showed satisfaction in areas of common interest, including counter-terrorism, security, and developing situation in the region.
Pakistan-Turkiye Historical Relations
Pakistan-Turkiye bilateral ties have been institutionalized under the forum of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).
Both countries have had supported each other on different regional and international issues including the Kashmir and Cyprus issues.
