ANKARA: The National Defense Ministry on Monday said that Turkish security forces had neutralized 14 terrorists of YPG/PKK in northern Syria.

The ministry said on Twitter that the terrorists were planning to attack the Operation Olive Branch and Operation Peace Spring zones.

Turkish officials use the term “neutralize” to indicate the terrorists in question were either captured, surrendered, or killed.

Turkiye has launched a trio of successful anti-terror operations across its border in northern Syria since 2016 to prevent the formation of a terror corridor and enable the peaceful settlement of residents: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), and Peace Spring (2019). – APP/AFP
