ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, on Tuesday paid a special visit to the Pakistan Sweet Home (PSH) in Islamabad. During his visit, the UAE Ambassador acknowledged the PSH’s contribution towards the welfare of orphan children.

Accompanied by the Deputy Head of UAE Mission, Rashid Al Ali, the UAE Ambassador met the Head of PSH, Zamurrad Khan, and the children of Sweet Home.

Talking on the occasion, Zamurrad Khan thanked the UAE ambassador for visiting this beautiful house of angels and fairies. He said that the Ambassador’s visit reflected that UAE always strives for welfare in Pakistan.

He said that UAE has always played a leading role in selfless services to humanity, including the training and education of orphans.

PSH was established in 2009 with one child; today, thousands of children are part of this initiative.

He said that the children of PSH are currently studying in famous universities and educational institutions in Pakistan.

The centers of PSH are established in different parts of the country, including Sargodha, Karachi, Sukkur, Gujjar Khan, Kashmir, Islamabad, and North Waziristan, where thousands of orphans are being educated.

UAE to work together with Pakistan for welfare of orphan children

Speaking at the ceremony, the Ambassador said, “I was not aware of the great work of sponsoring thousands of orphans in Pakistan on such a large scale.”

“I am pleased and impressed by meeting these children, and their passion, courage, and confidence won my heart,” he said.

What can be a more outstanding work in the world than that you support orphan children and make them stand on their own feet by giving them the best education and training, he remarked.

As far as possible, we will work together with Pakistan for the betterment of these children, he added.
