UAE Envoy Calls on Ishaq Dar to Discuss Mutual Ties

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Al-Zaabi, called on the Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Ishaq Dar, at Finance Division on Wednesday, where both the dignitaries shared the historical and long-standing ties between the two sides and exchanged views on further enhancing and strengthening these economic ties.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan and UAE were engaging in various areas comprising energy, petroleum, refinery, and trade; however, he said still much potential was unexplored. In this regard, the Finance Minister also underlined various avenues in which Pakistan and UAE can trade and invest.

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates underlined that UAE is fully cognizant of the incumbent government’s recent development-oriented economic policies in Pakistan and shared that UAE is keenly interested in augmenting its investment in the country in new sectors of the economy.

Ishaq Dar for boosting mutual ties

Both the dignitaries exchanged views on the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif to the United Arab Emirates and his meetings with the UAE leadership. They discussed the timely implementation of decisions taken in these meetings to boost the fraternal relations between the two sides.

The Finance Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the proposal for new investment in Pakistan from the UAE and assured the UAE’s envoy of full support and cooperation by the incumbent government.

Later he shared sentiments of gratitude for the goodwill and cooperation of the ambassador and hoped to boost the bilateral relations further in the future.
