ABU DHABI: The foreign minister of the UAE has held a meeting with the the secretary-general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Abu Dhabi, the Emirates News Agency reported on Thursday.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Hussein Al-Sheikh held discussion over global efforts to achieve a truce in the Gaza Strip, and the humanitarian crisis in the region in the wake of Hamas and Israel war in the enclave.
The UAE Foreign Minister stressed the significance of prioritizing talks toward a framework for a two-state peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians, the report maintained.

He also underscored the urgent significance of prioritising talks towards a framework for a two-state peace agreement conducive to establishing sustainable stability and security in the region, and curbing the increasing instability and violence fueled by extremism, the Emirates News Agency maintained.
He also affirmed the UAE’s firm commitment to supporting the people of Palestine, and working actively with the world to end the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
