Umrah Program Guests Visit Cultural District in Makkah

RIYADH: As part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah, supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, beneficiaries were treated to a cultural excursion in Makkah, specifically at the Hira Cultural District.

The cultural program, designed by the Ministry, aims to enhance the experience of visitors and pilgrims during their stay in Makkah and Madinah. The guests had the opportunity to explore the Revelation Exhibition, featuring models of the Cave of Hira and a captivating film recounting the story of Prophet Muhammad’s revelation.

Expressing their appreciation, visitors commended the Kingdom’s efforts to enrich the religious and cultural experience of those undertaking the spiritual journey. The cultural tour also included a visit to the Kiswa Factory of the Holy Kaaba in Makkah’s King Abdulaziz Complex. During the visit, guests observed the manufacturing stages of the kiswa, actively participating in the weaving process for the new covering of the Kaaba.

Umrah Pilgrims Laud Saudi Leadership

In addition to cultural exploration, the pilgrims performed Friday Prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. They conveyed their gratitude to Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the exceptional services provided throughout their journey. The participants, comprising 250 pilgrims from various countries, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong, Japan, Brunei, Thailand, South Korea, Cambodia, and Mongolia, expressed admiration for the outstanding services received in Makkah after completing their Umrah rituals and visiting the holy sites.

This visit, part of the broader initiative by King Salman, marks the 15th group of pilgrims participating in the program, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to facilitating a meaningful and spiritually enriching pilgrimage experience for visitors from diverse regions.
