SANA’A: Warplanes from the United States and Britain conducted fresh airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen’s southwestern province of Taiz on Sunday night, reported by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.

Details regarding the airstrikes were not provided by the television, as the Houthis typically do not disclose information about damage and casualties.

Residents in the area reported that the strikes targeted areas near the Red Sea, according to posts on social media.

As of now, the US-British coalition has not responded to these media reports.

The coalition has been targeting Houthi missile launchers and military capabilities since January, aiming to deter the group from attacking international commercial ships transiting the Red Sea.

Since November last year, the Houthis have been targeting cargo ships associated with Israel, purportedly in solidarity with Palestinians affected by Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip.
