RAWALPINDI: The Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) General Michael Erik Kurilla met with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.
According to ISPR, matters of shared interests particularly cooperation in regional security matters were discussed during the meeting.
Both sides discussed opportunities for joint training and emphasized the importance of enhancing training interactions between CENTCOM and the Pakistan Army, ISPR stated.
General Kurilla acknowledged and appreciated the successes of the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism, as well as Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to bring peace and stability to the region, ISPR stated.
