US, China, UK Remain Top Destinations for Pakistani Exports During Jul-March

ISLAMABAD: The United States (US), China and the UK (UK) remained the top export destinations of Pakistani products during the first nine months of the current financial year 2023-24, reported by followed by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday.

According to the data provided by SBP, the US remained on top among the three key destinations with total exports of US 4,046.415 million during July-March 2023-24 against the previous correspondent period of US $ 4,530.379 million.

The US was followed by China, for Pakistan exported goods worth US $2,141.737 million compared to the last year’s period of $1,524.761 million, showing a boost of 40.46 percent.

The UK was the third top export destination, receiving Pakistan products worth $1,529.0428 million during the months under review as compared to the previous period of $1,494.643 million.

Pakistani Exports to Other Countries

According to the SBP data other countries receiving Pakistani products included UAE having $1,486.937 million against US $1,081.886 million last year, registering an increase of 37.43 percent whereas the Pakistani product exported to Germany worth $1,120.160 million as compared to $1,264.178 million last year.

Besides, the products exported to Holland were witnessed worth $1,024.731 million compared to last year worth $1,103.214 million while Italy recorded $825.439 million against $852.925 million last year.

The export to Spain registered at $1,084.927 million compared to $1,045.738 million last year, whereas that of Afghanistan stood at $375.319 million against last year figure of $401.044 million.

The exports to Bangladesh recorded $488.322 million compared to US $588.293 million last year while exports to France registered at US $378.478 million against US $440.766 million. The Pakistani product exported in the under review period to Belgium was recorded at US $404.650 million against US $524.192 million last year.

Pakistan’s exports received by Saudi Arabia stood at US $516.341 million during the current year against $357.172 million last year whereas the exports to Turkiye registered at US $259.599 million against US $240.413 million last year.
