WASHINGTON: In US Midterm Elections Republicans have secured 218 seats in the lower chamber of the US Congress during the midterm elections. The new development can stall Joe Biden’s agenda for the upcoming 24 months. Similarly, Democrats have also retained their control in the Senate.

According to media reports, Democrat Nancy Pelosi will be replaced by Republican minority leader Kevin McCarthy. The US President also congratulated McCarthy and offered to work with Republicans to deliver results for the people of America. It may be recalled that the new Congress will be summoned on 3 January 2023.
