US President Reaffirms US-Pakistan Collaboration in Letter to PM Shehbaz

WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden on Friday reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to collaborate with Pakistan across various sectors to bolster their partnership.

In a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Biden stressed the critical nature of the partnership between the two nations for global and regional security.

“The partnership between the peoples of the two countries is critical for the security of the world and its people. The United States will continue standing by Pakistan in facing the most important challenges facing the world and the region,” said Joe Biden in his congratulatory letter. 

In his letter, President Biden extended well wishes to Pakistan’s newly elected government. This marks President Biden’s first communication since Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took office. 

President Biden emphasized the critical nature of the partnership between the United States and Pakistan in ensuring global and regional security. 

He affirmed the US’s commitment to standing with Pakistan in facing significant challenges. 

President Biden highlighted the shared vision of prioritizing public health, economic development, and education for all, pledging continued collaboration between the two countries in advancing these goals. 

He also mentioned the US-Pakistan Green Alliance Framework as a means to enhance environmental efforts.

 Moreover, President Biden expressed determination to support Pakistan in sustainable agricultural development, water management, and recovery from recent floods.

 He reiterated the joint commitment to protecting human rights and fostering development. The President committed to strengthening the partnership between the United States and Pakistan, noting the enduring bond between the two nations’ people.
