ISLAMABAD: The US Dollar on Wednesday continued its upward surge against the Pakistani Rupee with an appreciation of 0.33 percent in the opening hours of trading.
PKR went down by 79 paisa against the greenback which was being traded at around Rs220.5. On Tuesday, the local currency registered a decline for the fifth straight session, closing at Rs219.71, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). PKR’s recent depreciation follows a cumulative recovery of Rs19.44, after it previously diminished to its record low of Rs239.94 against the dollar.
