Uzbek FM Arrives in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov has arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit.  On his arrival, the Uzbek top diplomat was accorded a warm welcome. The Foreign Minister was received by Director General (Central Asia & ECO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aizaz Khan.

During his stay in Islamabad, Foreign Minister Saidov will hold meeting with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He will also hold talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on a wide range of bilateral matters of mutual interest. The two sides will discuss trade and connectivity, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said.

The two nations are likely to ink memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during the trip.  The tour of the Uzbek top diplomat is likely to provide fresh impetus to the friendly ties between the two nations.
