TASHKENT: The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev has held talks with US Ambassador Jonathan Henick, local media reported on Saturday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the meeting focused on the current bilateral cooperation on Afghanistan. They emphasized a mutual interest in maintaining regular talks on Afghanistan.
The next meeting of special representatives on Afghanistan, scheduled for February 18 under the chairmanship of UN chief António Guterres in Doha, Qatar, was also discussed during the meeting.
