ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather across most plain areas of the country, with the northern regions expected to experience very cold and partly cloudy conditions for the next twelve hours.
Persistent dense fog and smog are likely in Islamabad, the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.
This morning’s recorded temperatures in major cities are as follows:
- Islamabad: 2 degrees Celsius
- Lahore and Peshawar: 4 degrees Celsius
- Karachi: 18 degrees Celsius
- Quetta and Muzafarabad: 3 degrees Celsius
- Gilgit: -2 degrees Celsius
- Murree: 1 degree Celsius
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and dry weather in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, with Leh experiencing very cold and partly cloudy conditions.
Jammu is expected to have cold weather with dense fog.
