California, United States: Meta Platforms-owned (META.O), WhatsApp was down for thousands of users globally today (Wednesday), outage tracking website Downdetector.com has confirmed.
It said more than 17,000 users reported issues with the messaging platform. Downdetector tracks suspensions by collating status reports from a number of sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.
Meanwhile, more than 67,000 users in the UK, over 30,000 in India and 95,000 in Brazil reported problems with the platform.
Meta, however, did not immediately comment on the issue.
