NEW YORK: WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has unveiled an ‘automatic album’ feature for channels, offering a more organized and accessible way to view consecutive images or videos shared by channel admins.

This new feature, currently available to some beta testers, is expected to be gradually rolled out to a wider audience in the coming days.

According to information from WaBetaInfo, a reliable source for WhatsApp updates, when channel admins share multiple consecutive images or videos, WhatsApp will automatically compile them into a unified album. Channel followers can conveniently access the entire collection by tapping on the automatic album.

WhatsApp Introducing Innovative Features

This enhancement comes as part of WhatsApp’s continuous efforts to introduce innovative features, providing users with a seamless and intuitive experience while interacting with media content within channels. The album not only streamlines the viewing experience but also supports channel reactions for the shared photos and videos.
