WhatsApp Launches New Feature to Find Important Messages

MENLO PARK, United States: Meta-owned, instant messaging and voice-over-IP service, WhatsApp WhatsApp has introduced a new feature to find important messages faster.

The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced the new feature on both his WhatsApp Channel and Facebook.

The new feature called chat filters, is aimed to make users manage their messages easily.

Under the update, three main filters are introduced, namely, All, Unread, and Groups. These filters will be available at the top of users’ chat and can be selected with a single tap.

The “All” filter displays all messages in the normal order, providing a complete view to the users of the entire chat history.

The “Unread” filter is related to messages that the users haven’t read yet, helping them to prioritize and respond to new or missed communications effectivity.

The “Groups” filter gathers all group chats in one place, including any subgroups making it simpler to find favorite group conversations.

WhatsApp stresses that these new filters are designed to streamline message management and enhance efficiency in locating important conversations.

The launching of chat filters shows WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing the user experience by offering an organized and structured approach to managing messages.
