GAZA: The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has confirmed that it facilitated the handover of more eight captives held in Gaza from Hamas to Israel. In a statement via social media, the Red Cross Confirmed that 8 More Captives have been handed over to Israel.

Similarly, in a statement, Qatari Foreign Ministry said that in the hostages released today are 2 minors and 6 women “of dual nationality”.

AFP cited a source close to Hamas as saying that it considered two Russian-Israeli women released on Wednesday in addition to the required ten as part of the 7th group freed, so that “as a result, the number of captives in the seventh group is ten”. The deal needs Israel to free three Palestinian prisoners for every captive freed, and the Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson said 30 Palestinians would be freed from Israeli jails, in exchange for a total of 10 captives, a tally which included “two Russian nationals who were freed on Wednesday”.

Earlier, Majed al-Ansari confirms on his social media account that 30 Palestinian detainees will be freed today in exchange for ten captives held in the Gaza Strip.

He further stated that the ten Israeli hostages freed on the seventh day of the pause include two Russian-Israeli dual citizens released last night. The seven-day pause has seen dozens of Israeli captives exchanged for over 200 Palestinian detainees, and relief and aid entering the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza Health Ministry said that over 15,000 Palestinian people have been killed in Israeli brutal attacks since October 7. The Health Ministry said that more than 6,150 children have also been killed in the war in Gaza. As per media reports, over 36,000 Palestinian people have been injured by Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip.
