PESHAWAR: District and sessions judge Shakirullah Marwat who was abducted from Dera Ismail Khan-Tank Road on Saturday was safely recovered by the law enforcement agencies on Sunday night, local media reported.
As per media reports, judge Shakirullah Marwat has reached his home and his release was unconditional. Marwat was kidnapped by unidentified armed men from Gara Mohabbat Morr area located at the juncture of DI Khan and Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A case was also registered by the counter-terrorism police against unidentified kidnappers who abducted the sessions court judge.
Earlier, a high-level special team was set up on Sunday for the early and safe recovery of the district and sessions judge. The Peshawar High Court also took notice of the kidnapping of the district and session judge, Shakirullah Marwat.
