Advisor to CM Emphasizes Completion of Tourism-Related Projects

PESHAWAR: Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism, Culture, and Archaeology, has emphasized the urgent completion of tourism activities and projects to achieve the set goals for tourism development, local media reported on Monday.

During a meeting of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), he stressed that the government would evaluate departmental performance based on target achievement and release funds accordingly.

Chanzeb directed the KDA to take concrete steps to develop tourism in the area and provide more facilities to tourists. He emphasized the importance of quality services in hotels and restaurants, as well as the provision of washrooms and drinking water for tourists both at tourist spots and along highways at suitable intervals. He suggested involving local hotel and restaurant owners in managing facilities on the roadside.

Chanzeb reiterated the commitment of the provincial government and the Department of Tourism and Culture to promote tourism throughout the province. He mentioned that they are working on a five-year comprehensive plan to ensure visitors’ tours are memorable, pleasant, and healthy in all respects.

Muhammad Shabbir, Director General of KDA, briefed Chanzeb on the progress and details of hotel management from Mansehra to Lake Saif-ul-Muluk, facilities for tourists on highways, and other tourism-related schemes.
