Amir Reveals his Goal Following International Return

RAWALPINDI: Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has expressed his determination to return to international cricket after a break of nearly four years, setting his sights on representing his country once again.

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Amir conveyed his excitement, likening the experience to a debut series. He credited the Pakistan Cricket Board and fellow cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi for instilling confidence in him and persuading him to end his international retirement, acknowledging the pressure to live up to their trust.

Amir revealed his immediate objective of clinching victory in this year’s T20 World Cup, eager to contribute to Pakistan’s success after falling short in the previous two editions. Reflecting on past achievements, he emphasized the significance of crossing the finish line in major tournaments, aiming to be part of a triumphant team once again. Additionally, Amir commented on his improved fitness level, asserting that he feels better than he did in 2019.
