SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has voiced deep concern over the escalating atrocities committed by Indian forces against civilians in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

As reported by Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement from Srinagar, condemned the ongoing raids on residences, cordon and search operations, and the arbitrary detention of youth under draconian laws, labeling them as severe acts of political retaliation against Kashmiris for resisting the unlawful occupation of their homeland.

Minhas lamented the suffocating environment created by India through its unprecedented repression in IIOJK. Despite assertions by the BJP government and its compliant media that normalcy has been restored in the region, Minhas argued that daily raids, cordon and search operations, and arrests expose New Delhi’s false narrative of normalcy in IIOJK.

He emphasized that India has imposed a militarized version of normalcy through its extensive deployment of military personnel and equipment in IIOJK, asserting that this contradicts India’s claims of peace and stability.

Minhas asserted that India’s propaganda aims to deceive the international community about the true situation in the region, highlighting that lasting peace and stability cannot be achieved without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.

He identified the Indian government’s refusal to grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination as the primary obstacle to establishing genuine normalcy and achieving peace in Kashmir and the wider South Asia region.

Minhas reaffirmed the resolve of the Kashmiri people to uphold the sacrifices of martyrs and resist Indian oppression. He called upon mosque leaders and religious scholars to pray for the steadfastness of the Kashmiri people in their quest for freedom from Indian tyranny.
