ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed deep concern over the increasing state terrorism by Indian troops in the illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

As reported by Kashmir Media Service, an APHC spokesperson issued a statement in Srinagar, highlighting that the Modi regime is ruthlessly targeting and harassing the people in the region who demand the right to self-determination and an impartial plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.

The spokesperson urged the international human rights organizations to intervene for the release of Kashmiri prisoners held in Indian jails.

Emphasizing the need for global action, the spokesperson called on the world community to declare null and void all illegal actions taken by the Indian Hindutva BJP government on August 5, 2019, concerning Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC spokesman highlighted the intensified state terrorism by the BJP-RSS Hindutva regime in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Innocent people, especially the youth, are allegedly being killed by forces operating under the protection of draconian laws that provide them with impunity.

Calling the international community, particularly human rights organizations, to intervene, the spokesperson called for efforts to halt the ongoing bloodshed of Kashmiris in the occupied territory. Additionally, he also called to hold India accountable for the alleged war crimes committed by its forces against innocent Kashmiris. —APP
