WASHINGTON: Tech giant Apple’s services crashed on Thursday hours following Meta’s Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram were restored, western media reported.

According to the firm’s page, various Apple services including the Apple TV, App Store, and Apple Music crashed.

Over 6,400 users have complained regarding service interruption, the firm acknowledged, with most of the complaints reported in the United States.

Meta platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook experienced a widespread outage on Wednesday. The international disruption started with WhatsApp, followed shortly by Instagram and Facebook.

Mostly photo and media uploads were impacted on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Meta’s official WhatsApp account admitted the issue and assured users of the current efforts to restore services promptly. WhatsApp confirmed that services were slowly being restored following experiencing server problems. The services for all Meta social media platforms including Facebook were restored in early hours of Thursday.
