CAIRO: The Arab League has called upon the international community to act against the Israeli occupation and its aggression on the Gaza strip.

Secretariat General of the Arab League in a statement on Monday said that Israeli occupation authorities must stop attacks on holy sites, carried out with an objective of Judaizing Jerusalem.

In the statement on the occasion of Land Day, the league strongly supported the Palestinian people’s noble goal of establishing its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

It also lauded the steadfastness of Palestinians and sacrifices of the martyrs, the wounded and the prisoners, for their homeland and toward establishing their own state.

The League denounced the policies of the Israeli occupation authorities against the people of Palestine.

According to the health ministry in the besieged Gaza Strip at least 32,845 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed since October 7 amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

The grim figure includes 63 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours alone, with a total of 75,392 persons wounded during the more than five months of bombing campaign.
