ISLAMABAD: The negative propaganda of the so-called Baloch sub-nationalists against the China-Pakistan Economic Cordier (CPEC) and China clearly depicts that they are operating on behest of enemies of Balochistan and enemies of Pakistan through terrorism.

The projects in Balochistan are aimed at the development of the south western province and these will bring prosperity in the region.

Gwadar is being developed as international city and port and people of Balochistan will be its biggest beneficiaries.

Companies involved in various projects in Balochistan are also developing their adjoining areas for people of province. A deliberate effort is being made to sabotage the friendly relations of China and Pakistan.

The banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) militant organizations are even involved in terrorist attacks against the local people working in development projects of CPEC and Gwadar Port under enemies’ agenda.

Militant organizations are unified in manipulating and polluting the minds of Baloch youth to join militancy against development of Balochistan.

Baloch women and young girls are exploited to join militant organizations against the Baloch traditions

Baloch sub-nationalists are operating on behest of enemies of Balochistan and enemies of Pakistan through terrorist attacks on Chinese consulate in Karachi, Confucius center Karachi, protests like Mama Qadeer and Mahrang Baloch and political face like Akhtar Mengal.

CPEC a lifeline for Pakistan

Despite all negative propaganda the fact is that the CPEC is a lifeline for Pakistan, especially for Balochistan. The CPEC mega-project has created 200 thousand jobs in Balochistan, and would generate millions of more employment opportunities in near future.

CPEC has created suitable environment for foreign investment in Balochistan and it could become largest province to attract foreign direct investment in Pakistan.

Some regional powers and countries, Afghanistan, Iran and central Asian states have become eager to join CPEC because they are convinced for its success and international importance. All these partnerships will add to the economy of Balochistan leading to prosperity.

With the completion of CPEC, the economic bulge in Balochistan will boost political capital of the province manifold in Pakistan. The province will attain major influence in national politics and people of Balochistan will be empowered to steer the country.

As a critical part of CPEC, it is estimated that Gwadar Port and Free Zone could create more than 40 thousand jobs.

China has recently made a commitment to invest 4.5 billion$ for an oil refinery. Balochistan with these investments could become a major hub of oil and petroleum industries in South Asia.

CPEC is about developing road infrastructure and the transportation sector in the province of Balochistan which is the foremost beneficiary. Better connectivity among the districts of Balochistan, fast routes with other provinces and an international sea port and airport will serve the interests of local transporters, farmers, traders and small industries in Balochistan.

Pakistan, China want to give maximum jobs to local people under CPEC

Pakistan and China want to give maximum jobs to local people in CPEC mega-project, Gwadar Port and Free Zone. For this purpose, China-Pakistan Vocational and Technical Training Institute is being established to train youth for suitable skills to enable them for these jobs.

Under CPEC, the industrial zones would be developed in Balochistan’s major cities, and no doubt that the province will become a market and a destination for new investment, and a regional hub for transportation, trade, and economic activity.

All these schemes would enhance the living standards of common people in Balochistan.
