LONDON: The British Royal Family faced a significant setback on Sunday morning as alleged Russian hackers, identifying themselves as the pro-Kremlin group KillMilk, claimed to have successfully taken down the official website of the Royal Family.

Reports from Mirror revealed that the cyber “attack” resulted in the Royal Family’s website displaying an error message, indicating a ‘Gateway time-out Error code 504’.

The attackers left a cryptic message on the messaging site, stating “attack on pedophiles…” accompanied by a sad face emoji. The message was accompanied by a background image of King Charles. This incident follows a similar claim made by alleged Russian hackers who disrupted Prince of Wales Prince William’s official website last year, as reported by The Daily Express.

The Royal Family’s website provides information regarding King Charles, the Royal Family, and other senior members of the Firm.

The incident has raised concerns about the vulnerability of high-profile websites to cyber threats and underscores the growing challenges posed by hackers and cybercriminals in the digital age.
