ISTANBUL: China launched three experimental satellites into space on Saturday from the Jiuquuan Satellite Launch Center in the northwestern Gobi Desert, the Chinese state-run Xinhua News reported on Saturday.
The Long March 2C carrier rocket carried the satellites and lifted off at 8:13 a.m. local time. Developed and constructed by the China Academy of Space Technology in Beijing, these satellites are part of the space-based Internet Technology Demonstrator series.

This mission signifies the fourth deployment in the ongoing series, following initial launches in July, and subsequent ones in November and December. In 2023, China has executed a total of 67 launches, with the Long March rocket family, its primary launch vehicle fleet, accounting for 47 of these launches. —APP
