China Offers Constructive Role for Ceasefire in Israel-Palestine Conflict

BEIJING: China has expressed its willingness to collaborate with the international community to contribute constructively towards achieving a ceasefire and ending the conflict between Israel and Palestine, along with ensuring the release of all detained individuals, said Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning on Tuesday.

Addressing the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict during her regular briefing, Mao Ning emphasized China’s repeated calls for the swift release of all detained persons and highlighted the active efforts made by China towards this goal.

“We are willing to work with the international community to continue to play a constructive role in promoting a ceasefire, putting an end to the war, and securing the release of all detained persons,” she added.

In response to another inquiry regarding the release of hostages, Mao Ning affirmed that China is communicating with relevant parties on these pertinent issues. “We are committed to collaborating with all parties to expedite the release of detained persons, achieve a prompt ceasefire, end the conflict, and establish lasting peace in the Middle East,” she concluded.
