SHIJIAZHUANG: A record-breaking freight train, boasting a load capacity exceeding 30,000 tones, completed a successful test run on the Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway last Saturday. This colossal train, propelled by four electric locomotives, was comprised of 324 carriages, stretching over 4,088 meters in length and carrying a total load of 32,400 tones.

These remarkable figures set new records for both the longest train formation and the highest load capacity in China. The Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway serves as a vital link between Shanxi Province’s coal base and Hebei Province’s Huanghua Port, making it the second-largest coal transport route in China.

During the test run, the train travelled from Cangzhou City in Hebei to Huanghua Port, demonstrating the railway’s capabilities and efficiency.
