Chinese University Initiates Training Program for Pakistani Professionals

BEIJING: Liaoning Petrochemical College in North Eastern China recently hosted a launching ceremony for a specialized training program tailored for Pakistani employees of Shandong Zhongyang Group, enabling them to pursue studies in China.

Expressing heartfelt appreciation, Yu Zhongdang, the college president, thanked the Department of Education of Liaoning Province, the Embassy of Pakistan in China, Shandong Zhongyang Group, and Tang International Education Group for their enduring support and assistance. He warmly welcomed all Pakistani students participating in the training, as reported by Chinese media.

Highlighting the significance of the college’s technical skills training for foreign employees of Chinese-funded enterprises, President Yu emphasized the institution’s unwavering commitment to supporting Shandong Zhongyang Group’s Nigerian Petrochemical Industrial Park project. He underscored these efforts as crucial steps in aligning with the spirit of the Opinions on Deepening the Reform of Modern Vocational Education System Construction.

President Yu outlined the college’s dedication to fostering collaboration between vocational colleges and enterprises to facilitate overseas operations, in line with Liaoning’s three-year action plan for comprehensive revitalization. Leveraging its talent pool and advanced training facilities, the college will deploy experienced instructors, incorporate industry experts, and tailor courses to meet enterprise safety standards.

With a focus on the natural gas methanol production process, the college intends to harness its expertise in the petroleum and chemical industry to support Chinese-funded enterprises. Its overarching goal is to establish a vocational education model centered on international expansion through seamless school-enterprise integration.

This initiative not only aims to showcase China’s vocational education narrative but also aims to disseminate the latest ideas in the field while equipping a cohort of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) participants with proficiency in the Chinese language, deep understanding of Chinese culture, and exceptional skills.
