Embassy of Nepal Promotes Vipassana for Stress Management and Inner Peace

ISLAMABAD: On the occasion of the 114th International Women’s Day, the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad organized a program titled “Vipassana: Stress Management and Inner Peace for a Better World.” The event aimed to highlight the significance of cultivating inner peace through the practice of Vipassana meditation as a means to manage stress effectively.

During the program, insights were shared regarding the historical imprint of Vipassana in Taxila and Takht-I Bahi, as well as other locations in Pakistan, where evidence of meditation practices exists. Nepal, known as one of the oldest countries, has diligently preserved and embraced ancient traditions, including meditation techniques like Vipassana, which hold potential benefits for individuals worldwide.

Nepal attracts a substantial number of foreign visitors annually, seeking to learn, practice, and enhance their skills in yoga and meditation. These practices, emphasizing non-religious and non-political aspects, offer significant contributions to the holistic well-being of humanity. Notably, several centers in Nepal generously offer courses on yoga and meditation without any charges, reflecting a commitment to accessible wellness practices.

The program featured Mr. Khageshwar Aryal, a Vipassana teacher, who shared valuable insights into the importance of Vipassana for enhancing the overall well-being of individuals. Participants had the opportunity to engage in breathing exercises and meditation sessions guided by Mr. Aryal, facilitating experiential learning of stress management techniques.

Diverse attendees graced the event, including government officials, corporate leaders, human resource managers, yoga instructors, and practitioners, underscoring the broad interest and applicability of Vipassana principles in various spheres of life.
