NEW YORK: Taylor Swift’s presence at the Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets game has sparked social media buzz and playful taunts directed at NBC, the broadcaster airing the game.

The pop superstar, who has remained silent about her rumored relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, was spotted entering MetLife Stadium with actors Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman, sporting crystal-studded denim shorts and a black shirt.

Swift, a notable Chiefs fan, was seen in a luxury suite during the game, capturing fans’ attention as she cheered for the team. Last week, she attended the Chiefs’ home game against the Chicago Bears, sitting alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna, fueling speculation about her relationship with the star tight end.

NBC and NFL Capitalize on Taylor Swift’s Presence

NBC and the NFL capitalized on Swift’s presence, airing a Swift-themed ad during the game featuring her hit song “Welcome to New York.” The broadcaster shared multiple shots of Swift and her friends, prompting playful joking from fans on social media.

Travis Kelce’s jersey sales reportedly skyrocketed by over 400 percent, attributed partially to the newfound attention from Swift’s fanbase, known as the “Swifties.” Kelce acknowledged the phenomenon, stating, “Sounds like the Swifties are also part of Chiefs Kingdom.”

Swift, currently on a break from her international tour, will resume performances in November. A concert documentary, titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” is set for release on October 13, further adding to the excitement of her devoted fanbase.
