Five-Day Afghan Culture Exhibition Started in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of States and Frontier Regions Secretary Naheed Shah Durrani and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) representative in Pakistan, Philippa Candler, have inaugurated the ‘Afghan Culture: Conversations Through Stitch & Stone in Pakistan’ exhibition in Islamabad.

The five-day exhibition is jointly organized by the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

The exhibition, taking place at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), will continue until February 5. 

The event aims to bring together various stakeholders, including key government officials, members of the diplomatic community, UN agencies, partner organizations, and, notably, representatives from the refugee community, as mentioned in a press release.

Naheed Shah Durrani, the Secretary of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), was the chief guest at the occasion.
