ISLAMABAD: The Swedish Embassy, in partnership with Olomopolo Media, UN Women, Rozan, and Dastak, has launched “Guy Talk Pakistan,” an initiative aimed at fostering conversations among Pakistani men on topics rarely discussed, focusing on societal expectations and norms of masculinity.

The initiative seeks to engage men in self-reflection and dialogue, challenging harmful gender stereotypes prevalent in society. With the goal of dismantling rigid notions of what it means to be a ‘real man,’ Guy Talk encourages men to contribute to creating a more equal and inclusive society.

Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan, Henrik Persson, emphasized the significance of involving men in the pursuit of gender equality, stating, “Through Guy Talk, we aim to create a platform for Pakistani men to explore and challenge preconceived notions of masculinity, fostering a more inclusive and equal society for all.”
