LAHORE: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain has said the incumbent government was providing every possible facility to all the pilgrims performing Hajj.
The minister said this, while addressing the seeing-off ceremony in honour of 287 pilgrims at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, here on Friday. Speaking to the pilgrims, Salik Hussain said they were going to the holy land as guests of Almighty Allah and being ambassadors of Pakistan, they might have in mind to respect the Saudi laws and culture.
Facilities For Pilgrims
The federal minister apprised the pilgrims that he himself would leave for Saudi Arabia in a couple of days to examine the arrangements over there in personal capacity. He assured the pilgrims about all possible facilities to be given to them and pledged that government of Pakistan would address any issue faced by the pilgrims during their stay in the holy land.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated the government of Saudi Arab offered him VIP Hajj facilities, however he opted to stay with his country’s pilgrims adding that the arrangements for the current year would be entirely different from previous experiences. He mentioned that every pilgrim is being equipped with a mobile SIM card, including an application, to guide them in case they face any issue or lose their way in Mina.
He also requested the pilgrims to pray for the development and peace of the country. Later the pilgrims left for Madina by Serene Air Flight ER-921 from Allama Iqbal International Airport.
