BEIRUT: Hezbollah on Thursday conducted several attacks on Israeli military targets across the border of Lebanon after four of its members were killed in Israeli strikes, said security sources.

Israeli drones on Thursday had hit a car in Bafliyeh, Tyre — 99 km from Beirut — that was carrying Hezbollah members.

The group announced the death of two of its members, while a third died from severe injuries.

Though Bafliyeh is located south of Litani Line, it has never been targeted over the past seven months.

A security source said that four Israeli drones flew over several towns in the area of Tyre and chased a car on the Bafliyeh-Arzoun road.

The drones then fired missiles at the vehicle, completely destroying it.

Hezbollah responded to the killings by targeting Israeli military sites and destroying technical systems.

It also hit a new command center in the Natur settlement with artillery as well as a group of soldiers in the Al-Jerdah site.

According to Israeli media, Hezbollah missiles struck the headquarters of the 91st Division.

Hezbollah in a statement said that its members targeted the headquarters of the 91st Division in the Branit Barracks.

Israeli shelling and airstrikes on the border area on Wednesday night killed five members of Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad movement.
