High Commission of Malaysia Hosts Eid-ul-Fitr Open House in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan and his spouse, Amelia Amani Azhar on Friday hosted an Eid-ul-Fitr Open House at the Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad.

Members of diplomatic corps, senior government officials, media as well as the Malaysian diaspora were present to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The High Commissioner, his wife with his team and families at the High Commission welcomed the guests with Malaysian hospitality.

The guests were served with a delightful array of traditional Malaysian and Pakistani cuisines such as mee goreng, mutton curry, nasi goreng, satay with peanut sauce and traditional Eid cookies.

The gathering demonstrates the true spirit of friendship and peaceful co-existence amongst nations especially with the host nation, Pakistan.

Ambassador Azhar, addressing the gathering, underscored the significance of cultural understanding and mutual respect in strengthening bilateral relationship, stressing the commonalities and traditions that link the people of Malaysia and Pakistan.

The ambassador expressed gratitude to the guests for joining in the celebration and reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to advancing cooperation with Pakistan in various areas, including trade, education, investment and tourism.

The successful event exemplified the strong brotherly ties and cooperation.
