LAHORE: Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has reversed his retirement decision and announced his availability for the national Twenty20 cricket, gearing up for the ICC T20I World Cup 2024.

Wasim stated that following discussions with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, he has decided to reconsider his retirement plans. He expressed his happiness in declaring his availability for Pakistan cricket in the T20i format leading up to the upcoming World Cup.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Wasim thanked the PCB for their trust in him and pledged to give his best to bring honour to his country, emphasizing that Pakistan remains his top priority.

The 34-year-old cricketer had previously announced his retirement from international cricket in November last year, citing it as the right time to conclude his international career.

However, after his outstanding performance in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League, PCB approached him to withdraw his decision.

“It has truly been an honour to represent Pakistan. Each of my 121 appearances across the ODI and T20I formats was a dream come true,” Wasim noted.
