NEW DELHI: India started exploring the surface of the Moon with a rover on Thursday a day after it became the first country to successfully land a craft close to the largely unexplored lunar south pole.
Pragyan, which means “Wisdom” in Sanskrit, rolled out of the lander hours after the most recent achievement in India’s ambitious yet budget-friendly space mission sparked widespread jubilation.
On Thursday, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Rover ramped down the lander, and India took a walk on the moon!” —APP
