TEHRAN: Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani left Tehran for Astana to attend the meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Ashtiani will participate in the Council of Defense Ministers meeting in Kazakhstan’s capital. He will also hold meetings with his counterparts from other SCO member states on the sideline of the SCO of defense ministers.
The agenda for the meeting includes a review of regional security matters and discussions on defense cooperation initiatives within the SCO framework.
