DAMASCUS: An Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the Kafr Sousa district of Damascus on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of 2 people.

Syrian media, citing a military source, reported that the strike occurred around 9:40 a.m. (0640 GMT) and injured several other individuals, identifying the deceased as civilians.

Images released by Syrian state media depicted the charred side of a multi-storey building. The neighborhood is home to Iranian cultural centers, residential buildings, and schools, and is situated near a large, heavily guarded complex utilized by security agencies.
