LAHORE: Justice Malik Shehzad Amad Khan on Friday took oath as the Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice, local media reported.
As per media reports, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman has administered oath to the newly-appointed chief justice of LHC at the Governor’s House. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz also attended the oath-taking ceremony.
Former Justice of Supreme Court Khalilur Rehman Ramde, Justice (retd) Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhary, LHC Justice Ali Baqir Najafi, Justice Miss Alia Neelum and Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi had approved the appointment of Justice Malik Shehzad as the Chief Justice of LHC.
